How to choose a restaurant marketing agency
Compare restaurant agency proposals using a practical checklist for briefs, photography, content, advertising spend and qualified enquiries.
Choose a measurable objective
Before comparing posting packages, identify the business problem. A new restaurant needs discovery; an unfamiliar dish needs explanation; a weak enquiry journey needs clearer information and contact steps. Write down the objective, review period and available data source.
Send the same brief to every agency
Include the concept, menu, cities, branches, account links, audience and priority. State whether you already have usable images and an established identity. Explain whether production needs to happen at the restaurant or in a studio. Comparable inputs make proposals easier to assess.
Compare deliverables and responsibilities
Ask for content formats, channels, languages, revision rounds and dates. Identify who handles photography, copy, publishing and customer messages. A proposal using existing images and a proposal including a new shoot represent different scopes even when the fee is similar.
Separate fees, production and media spend
Request a breakdown for management, photography, travel, tools and advertising spend where relevant. Dish count, branches, channels, deadlines and usage rights all affect the workload. A total price without inclusions is difficult to compare; there is no single package that fits every restaurant.
Review relevant work carefully
Look for clear product images, consistent identity and useful communication across menus, packaging and social content. Ask what the agency actually delivered in each example. Sales claims need a measurement period, source and context; one screenshot cannot establish why a result occurred.
Agree measurement and asset ownership
Clarify account ownership, access permissions, final deliverables and image rights. If enquiries are the objective, measure contact actions and record which enquiries are qualified and become customers. A WhatsApp click is an interaction, not proof of a conversation or sale.
Use a short decision checklist
Compare understanding of the restaurant, deliverable clarity, work quality, approvals and reporting. Resolve exclusions, rescheduling rules and end-of-contract handover before signing. Choose a scope your team can support with timely menu information, approvals and production access.
Prepare a YumYum brief
Share your city, branches, menu, account links, service needs and approximate timing. YumYum brings together branding, photography, content and campaigns from Cairo. Gulf briefs require confirmation of delivery scope and production arrangements before agreement.
